United Airlines and American Airlines (among a few others) removed capacity caps on flights - what this means is their flights can fly with a 100% capacity as of today.
A really irresponsible decision (imo), choosing profits over safety. Their responsibility to their shareholders should ideally include a willingness to keep them safe while using their services (they did amp up cleaning, but then clearly got rid of distancing)
A friend of mine pointed out that it's "us" that are booking the flights to the brim in the first place. In the end, we're deciding to buy seats on planes that are too full in the first place.
I know not everyone has the luxury of paying more for seats on "emptier" planes (if even possible), but when no one takes responsibility - not the airline companies nor people - then we end up with a tough situation and unsafe flights.
No idea what the answer is here, but the way things stand right now is really inopportune
