Parking citations in SF bring in around $100M in revenue for the city, which I don't find hard to believe considering how many tickets my housemates and I pay (I'd still argue we're above avg drivers)
The cost for getting a car out of a garage after getting it towed = a whopping $750. There are grants for low-income folk, but it's super expensive nonetheless
Apparently, 40% of all these citations are related to street cleaning (again, not surprised from personal experience). That's important data, that tells us something noteworthy.
Personally - it's probably time for the govt to find a better method of communicating street cleanings to its citizens. An app? A more obvious street cleaning day system? An acronym?? A jingle???
(also would be nice to get rid of predatory towing pricing)
