Counter-intuitive small things at work: when I send meeting invites for a 1:1 with someone, I used to always put the invitees (ex: Audrey’s) name first.
So “Audrey <> Daksh” for example - and since I’d often be meeting with folks more senior than me (as is often true at a first job!), I’d put their name first basically of “out of respect” (perhaps a topic for another time)
Funny enough, I realized a simple thing - basically, Audrey knows she’s in the meeting; so when a iOS notification / Outlook cuts off part of the invite header (as it often does)… all she sees is her own name.
Now it’s always “Daksh <> …” as weird as it feels sending it out
Super small change that’s probably been worthwhile over the hundreds of meetings over quarantine, etc
