Absolutely wild how Amazon Prime subscriptions (aka the prime "membership fee") alone bring in ~$17B a year.
That's roughly equivalent to the revenues of Uber and Lyft combined, and doesn't even include the amount prime members actually spend to purchase things
Bezos said that he wants to build Prime in such a way that it becomes irresponsible for someone NOT to have it, and with 150M+ members - it looks like they're getting closer and closer to that goal
P.S. the prime retention rate after 2-years is 98% (only 2% of folks don't keep their membership after that period)
