It will take time, but our wonky immigration policies will accelerate international tech/startup hubs in India, China etc. Think about what happens when (largely) technical 'knowledge workers' are no longer invited to the US - they stay and build something amazing elsewhere
India/China and the like have been finding a way to "fix" the brain drain problem, and looks like the US has done it through one swoop of a poorly motivated decision
