Comcast/Xfinity - a sort of "legacy" company that was heavily reliant on linear TV (aka cable) to make money - kicked off a recent strategy to change with the times.
So they started offering a free streaming box (where you can watch netflix/youtube etc.) that unfortunately ended up being an amzing advertisement for Amazon.
The thing took me an hour to setup - a painful update, an activation process, typing stuff out one letter at a time.
